COVID-19 Testing

RAPID ANTIGEN: Our laboratory offers a nasal swab, SARS Rapid Antigen test, with results within 24 hours. This test will check if a protein from the virus is present. This test will detect if the virus is present in your body at time of testing. There is a chance your infection will not show up on tests yet if tested too close to your exposure. Testing is recommended 5-7 days after exposure or your first symptoms. For those with an exposure or showing symptoms, our rapid test is covered under major insurances, medicare, and medicaid.

PCR TESTING: PCR testing is an alternative to our SARS Rapid Antigen test, but is currently in limited supply. PCR testing is slower and more expensive, but is more sensitive when detecting SARS-CoV-2. This test  highly accurate in early infection stages or asymptomatic patients, as it tests for parts of the RNA in the virus rather than the protein associated with the virus. Most results can be expected in approximately 24 hours for our SARS-CoV-2 Rt-PCR test.
